Facility for Chromatographic and Elemental Analysis (PTCE)
The Facility for Chromatographic and Elemental Analysis (PTCE) is equipped with advanced and innovative instrumentation (GC, GC-MS, HPLC, ICP-AES, ICP-MS), specialized equipments and highly qualified specialists with many years of experience in the field; this competence is improved by continuous professional uptdate.
The purposes of the PTCE are the development, the collaboration and the support to the analytical activities related to research and also to didactics; in addition, it offers technical assistance and consulting services to optimize the use, maintenance, updating and implementation of dedicated analytical instrumentation.
The main activities of PTCE include chromatographic analyses of natural and synthetic organic compounds, the determination of inorganic elements at trace levels, nutrients, contaminants and the development and validation of analytical methods. These services are intended for both internal and external users.
The Facility currently operates in several laboratories located on the second floor of the Rizzi campus and on Via Sondrio (Basket).
